Somatics is defined as relating to the body. It is natural to live day by day in the mindset of constant thoughts never really recognizing how-to live-in body awareness.
Somatics engages the nervous system in an active learning process that consists of very slow, focused, conscious movements. The movement techniques used in Somatics teach the nervous system how to release chronic muscle tension and stand and move in natural, efficient ways so that you aren’t putting yourself in pain or doing damage to your body.
Somatic Experiencing is a holistic approach of working with the stuck traumas that have taken residency within our bodies. SE resets the nervous system, restores inner balance, enhances resilience to stress, and increases people’s vitality, equanimity, and capacity to actively engage in life.
Danica Lynch, a practitioner of the Somatic Experiencing Trauma institute, certified E-RYT Yoga Instructor and trained in Somatic Yoga at the Novato Institute/Thomas Hanna method & Somatic Center, brings you a wonderful blend of yoga & science. You will learn how to work with the full connection of your body ” Brain, Mind & Body.”
