Community Advocacy

Her advocacy extends past the yoga world and into the nonprofit world. Danica co-founded Greetings With Gratitude, a nonprofit that supports youth and the homeless.

She has created & facilitated specialized programs for her community, including volunteer program “No One Dies Alone” for a local Hospital where she serves as a compassionate volunteer for end-of-life patients.  She has hosted Trauma-informed book clubs, workshops and presentations for her local School District educators, staff and students, and she brings awareness to the growing issues of unsheltered people.  Danica responds to the culture of the groups and individuals she serves, adapting life lessons, skills and techniques to meet them where they are and help them work through stress, anxiety, emotions and physical barriers with care and compassion.

As the need for healing on an individual and collective level increases, Danica continues to put the principles of yoga and compassion into action by speaking to students, educators, and groups about the science behind trauma – and more importantly – the wisdom of the body-mind connection.
